Oakfield is an independent estate agency operating across East Sussex, with high-street offices in Lewes, Uckfield, Heathfield, Hastings, Bexhill and Eastbourne, handling sales, lettings, property management and block management.

Estate agency is intensely local and intensely competitive. Most people move rarely, so there is little repeat custom to fall back on. The flow of new sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants has to keep coming, which puts a lot of weight on being found in the first place.

We have built several versions of the Oakfield site over the years. It has to hold a lot: property search, sales, lettings, property management, block management, valuations and six branches, while still reading as one consistent Oakfield rather than six separate agencies.

Search visibility across six towns

People looking for an estate agent search locally, by the town they are buying or selling in. With branches across East Sussex, the site has to earn visibility in each of those areas as well as for the county more broadly. SEO is a core part of the relationship rather than something added afterwards.

The relationship started through motorsport. Stu has known Neil Newstead, Oakfield’s founder and CEO, for years through racing. What came out of it is a working relationship that has now run for more than a decade.
