These days anyone can create a website but to build our sites, it was important to have a good understanding of the complex relationships between the various data types — in our case, drivers, cars, teams and points — to build a dynamic web presence. Stu Lane and associates applied a blend of technical knowledge and graphic design skills to put together a pair of WordPress-driven sites for us. In order to give us the flexibility and speed of updates that were needed, we requested the integration of external repositories like Dropbox and Google Drive so that results spreadsheets and media could be brought into the website automatically, without having to use any coding or applications to publish updates.

OBJECTIVES
Delivering a Championship-Ready Digital Infrastructure
Britcar required more than a visual refresh. The objectives were:
- Create a dynamic, scalable website capable of managing complex championship data.
- Provide clear information pathways for former, current and prospective competitors.
- Structure relationships between drivers, cars, teams and championship points.
- Integrate external systems (Google Drive, Dropbox) to allow rapid publication of race results and documents.
- Ensure flexibility for race-weekend updates without technical bottlenecks.
- Maintain professionalism and authority consistent with a long-standing motorsport brand.
The website needed to function as an operational tool — not simply a marketing asset.
HERE’S HOW WE DELIVERED UPON THOSE OBJECTIVES:
Custom Data-Structured Championship Platform
We developed a WordPress-driven platform capable of managing:
- Driver profiles
- Team listings
- Car classes
- Championship standings
- Event calendars
- Points systems
The architecture was built to reflect the real-world relationships between these data types, allowing dynamic updates and scalable expansion.
Integrated External Repository System
To support race-weekend efficiency, we integrated:
- Google Drive for photo/media hosting
- Dropbox for championship documentation and results spreadsheets
This allowed Britcar to update race results, documentation and media assets quickly — without requiring coding or manual publishing workflows.
Speed and autonomy were critical to the championship’s operations.
Ongoing Championship Support & Expansion
Our relationship with Britcar has continued over several years.
In addition to maintaining and supporting the main Britcar site, we also built a separate website for the British Endurance Championship, which has since been amalgamated back into the Britcar brand — demonstrating flexibility and long-term strategic alignment.
We continue to support the digital platform as the championship evolves.
RESULTS
A Scalable, Operational Motorsport Platform
Britcar now benefits from:
- A dynamic championship website capable of handling complex motorsport data
- Faster race-weekend update workflows
- Clear information access for competitors and teams
- Improved operational efficiency via system integrations
- A professional digital presence aligned with national motorsport standards
The platform functions as a core operational tool — supporting communication, data management and competitor engagement throughout the racing season.
